Starting to feel like I got scammed...

Last word from the metal building supplier, was that I should expect delivery between the 20th and the 31st of July. Since then, I've heard nothing...

I called the shipping department last Friday to see if I could get a status.
I was told they had "manufacturing problems" and my order was pushed back another month.

I fired off an email yesterday. I'm still waiting for a reply.

According to the contract - they are held harmless regarding any delays with manufacturing.
In reality, I suppose they could keep saying they have problems until we're all dead and gone.

Additionally, the 90-day protection window for the down-payment using my VISA Credit Card is long since past so there's nothing I can do about that. I guess that's the part that really bugs me - I knew better! I should have cancelled the charges after 60-days and requested they "re-charge" the card. At least that way I could have kept the protection in place.

At this point, I really have no recourse other than to give them another month and hope for the best.
After that I'll have to cancel the order and move on with plan "B".
(Black eye and all)

Winter will be here before too long and I really want to be in a warm building by then.

Ready for steel

I got the foundation bolts drilled and epoxied in place and also got the foam insulating panels glued back to the previously bowed sections of slab.
The electric, water, sewer and gas supply is all hooked up inside the house.

I received another phone call from the factory with a delivery date between July 15th and August 1st.
I'm glad it's coming, but a little more accuracy would be great! They said I'll receive another call three days before delivery and finally the truck driver will call me when he's 24 hours away.

So now I'm spending a little time looking for something to protect the top 6" (150mm) of foam that will remain exposed once the final grading is completed.

The weed trimmer will tear that stuff up in no time if left exposed!
